We build intelligent and useful things.
An independent studio shipping focused apps — a sports recommendation engine, a training platform, an interesting mobile game and whatever ships next. This is where the projects, the writing, and the tools live.

Overview
This policy covers malolo.co.za ("the Site"), operated by Malolo, Inc. Our Android apps (ShellShifter, CardCraft Academy, NUMORA) are distributed through Google Play and may collect additional information as disclosed in their own Play Store listings — this policy is about the website only.
Information we collect
Google Sign-In. If you sign in with Google to edit blog posts or sync Procurement Academy progress, we receive your name, email address and profile photo from Google. We use this only to recognise you and to decide what you're allowed to do (e.g. whether you may publish blog posts).
Procurement Academy progress. If you sign in on the Academy tab, your lesson progress, quiz scores and exam history are stored against your account so they aren't lost across devices or browsers.
Local storage. The Site keeps small amounts of data in your browser — such as your Academy progress and last-viewed section — so the Site works smoothly even if you don't sign in. This stays on your device and is not shared with us unless you choose to sign in and sync it.
Contact. We don't run a contact form. If you email us, we receive whatever you choose to include in that message.
eBook purchases. Reading an eBook on the Site needs no account or payment. If you buy a paid PDF download, your card payment is handled entirely by Yoco (Yoco Technologies (Pty) Ltd) — we never see or store your card details. We keep a record of the sale itself (which book, the amount, and Yoco's transaction reference) for our own accounting.
Visitors who just read the Blog, eBooks or Projects without signing in are not required to provide any personal information.
How we use this information
Strictly to operate the features described above: authenticating you, syncing your Academy progress, deciding blog edit access, and replying to emails you send us. We don't run advertising or third-party analytics trackers on this Site, and we don't sell or share your information.
Where data is stored
The Site is hosted on Google Firebase (Hosting, Firestore and Authentication). Google's own privacy and security practices apply to their role as our infrastructure provider.
Third-party links
Download links on this Site lead to Google Play Store pages for our apps. Google's privacy policy applies once you're on those pages. Paid eBook downloads are processed by Yoco, whose own privacy policy governs the payment step.
Data retention and deletion
You can ask us to access or delete your Academy progress or account data at any time by emailing us at the address below.
Children's privacy
This Site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date above reflects the most recent version.
